I'm Home! I'm Tired! I'm Happy!

I am going to bed and I am sleeping in!  But before I do, here is a short recap of today.

  • Paige and the kids took me to the airport at 9:00.  They wanted to come home with me, but were excited for their movie night with Paigee!  Have fun guys!
  • I met Mimi (that is what my kids call grandma (my mother in law) at the airport and boarded the plane.
  • Had the most wonderful 4 hour flight talking and talking and talking.  We had so much to catch up on and it was SO fun to talk to her.  She really is one of my best friends and I love that I can talk to her about anything.  She is smart, funny, kind, loving,  and crazy!  :) Love you Mimi!
  • We were picked up at the airport by an incredibly handsome man. Oh wait, it was my husband :)
  • We had a nice ride and we all had plenty to talk about.
  • When I got home it was great but very strange.  I feel like I haven't lived her for 6 months.  I really didn't remember what it looked like.  I keep looking at things saying to myself, is this floor different?  Was this what my counters looked like?  I couldn't figure out which light switch controlled which light and I had to ask Bo where to find some pillows.... Weird.  I really have never experienced anything like this and can't really explain it?
  • Bo and I were starving so we went to dinner!
  • Then we ran to the store to get the poor guy some groceries - he was out of everything!
  • After that it was off to see Soul Surfer.  Bo hadn't seen it and I was dying to take him.  I loved it just as much the second time and cried just as many times...  He loved it as well!
  • We had so much to talk about and I had so much fun just engaging in great conversation with my husband.
We miss the kids so much are enjoying the quiet house and the time we have to catch up.  This may be the only time my house is EVER this quiet!  (Thank heavens!)

Goodnight!

  1. How fun. I know...isn't it fun to get alone time with my mom? (aka Mimi). She is so much fun to talk with! That's why I call her at least once a week! :)
