Ready, Set, Go!

I am back from training and it was absolutely amazing! I missed my family SO much and I think they missed me too :) I really wish I would have posted everyday while I was gone because I am afraid I might forget so many feelings and thoughts that I had. That being said, I have a thousand pages of notes so I know I got all of the important details!!!

I LOVED meeting all of the other trainees and Brain Balance corporate staff. I can't believe how many amazing people were there and I feel so privileged to be a part of this amazing team.

Now that I am home, you wouldn't even believe how much longer my list has gotten! Here is a VERY short summary of what is on my mind right now! (In no particular order...)

Finish reviewing my lease so we can sign it!
Meet with my contractor to finalize the bid
Finalize my floor plan
Get architect to finalize plans and get them to the city!
Make 1000 decisions of what I want for my center!
Start building!
Start my marketing plan - HUGE! So many things involved in this.
Start purchasing the supplies on my inventory lists
Purchase furnishings, etc. for center
Hire and train the perfect employees :)
Get my kids ready to start school next week!
Hopefully see my husband at nights for 5 minutes before we both crash :)
Continue doing Brain Balance with my boys at home - they are still doing so well!
Keep my house organized and running including keeping up on dishes, laundry, etc.
Sleep at least 2 hours a night? (optional)
Get ready and find clothes for all of us for my sister's wedding in less than a month!

Okay, that is not even the tip of the iceberg, so I am going to stop. I am sure you get the idea.

I am going to keep posting (hopefully still daily) because this has been my journal. It has been a lifelong goal of mine to keep a journal and I have finally done it! I know I have been behind the last couple weeks, but I am back!

As for now, we are off to the new school to meet the teachers today and then run 100 errands!

Our UPDATED Story!

We have made the hard decision to split our family up temporarily so that our boys can attend the Balance Center to treat their Autism, ADHD, etc. There are no centers near us so the three kids and I moved across the country leaving my husband home working extremely hard to support us on this journey. We will be here at least 6 months and after that we don't know, but we do know that this is the beginning of a journey that will change our lives forever.

The purpose of this blog is for me to document every last detail of our journey so that I will never forget it and so that I can track their progress day by day. It is also to keep friends and family updated of how we are doing. I decided to keep last names and locations private but leave the Blog open so that anyone that is searching for answers or information on the Brain Balance program can read it and make comments/ask questions. Please feel free to pass the link on to anyone you know that has a child affected by one of the disorders listed above.

UPDATE:
We are back home from our session at Brain Balance and the boys both made incredible gains. (Read below for their updates). We are now on a new journey! We are opening a Brain Balance Center in Southern Utah and then expanding into Northern Utah shortly after. We have a lot of work to do, but it is so rewarding. Our boys will be continuing in the program until they have meet all of their goals and no longer have a "functional disconnection". (Meaning, no more autism/ADHD/Sensory disorders) I will continue to post as often as possible and keep you updated on our family, the progress that the boys are making as well as the progress of our center. It is so exciting and the most amazing opportunity that we have to take the miracles that we have witnessed with Brain Balance and give them to other families.
